Colonial Beach Community Foundation Announces Annual For the Love of Wine and Chocolate Tasting Event
On February 9 the Colonial Beach Community Foundation will host its annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting. This event has been a popular fundraiser for the Foundation and brings the community together over two of nature’s gifts—grapes and cocoa beans.
The event is conducted by Eric Nelson, the former owner of Artfully Chocolate salons in D.C., Maryland and Virginia—and now a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Elite. He has taught classes in pairing chocolate and wine for the past 15 years. Nelson likes to underscore all of the various aspects of the pairings, especially the health benefits. “Chocolate and wine should be considered dietary supplements rather than guilty pleasures,” says Nelson. “Although, I don’t deny that the pairings are very pleasurable too.”
Particulars of the event are:
Where: St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 203 Dennison St., Colonial Beach, VA
When: February 9, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

This event is intended to be educational in nature. Any fun and frivolity is totally inadvertent and will be severely encouraged.
