High School Scholarships
Each year the Colonial Beach Community Foundation awards one to two scholarships to Colonial Beach High School seniors who plan to further their education after high school.

In 2024, two students were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship:
Vanessa Alicea
Ariana Druce
In 2023, Faith Dyer received a $1,000 scholarship for each year she attends a college or university.
To be eligible for a scholarship, students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrated 30 hours of community service, complete an essay, and provide letters of recommendation.
4-H Camp Scholarships
The Foundation supports Colonial Beach children ages 9-13 who wish to attend the week-long 4-H summer camp in Jamestown, VA. The camp is sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension. For many campers this is the first time they’ve been away from home and provides leadership, friendship, cooperation, and fun!
In 2024, the Foundation supplemented camp fees for five Colonial Beach students.
Torrey Smith Park Fiscal Agent
The Foundation was the acting fund manager for charitable contributions donated for the Torrey Smith recreation park. This was an overall effort to raise over $300,000 for the construction of a recreational facility substantially supported by NFL player and Colonial Beach High School alum, Torrey Smith. The facility opened in 2019 and is widely used by the community.
